This Sunday was the final day of the "Wild Kilkenny" Program!
As a member of Kilkenny Biodiversity Action Group, NRZ hosted this last day for the 15 participants of the program.
The goal of the programme was to broaden public access to environmental education in Kilkenny.
At this event we had the honour to welcome Maria Dollard, deputy mayor, councillor and representative of KKB,
Maurice O’Connor, the eco show - kilkenny city community radio,
Bernadette Moloney, biodiversity officer kk
and Lorcan Scott, biodiversity officer OPW.
This year, the Turtle Survival Alliance is working on a goal to reintroduce 5,000 critically endangered Radiated Tortoises (Astrochelys radiata) back into the wild.
Your support powers conservation initiatives across 30 countries, from feeding Critically Endangered turtles at Turtle Survival Center to returning thousands of rescued tortoises to the wild in Madagascar.
